APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, previously known as Kerala Technological University, stands as a state university in Kerala, offering a range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. programs in fields such as Engineering, Management, Computer Applications, and Architecture.

The university provides diverse amenities to students, faculty, and visitors, including a library, hostels, guest house, canteen, and more. With approximately 37 NBA-accredited colleges affiliated with KTU, the university has expanded its reach to encompass over 150 affiliated colleges across Kerala.

Admission to the BTech program is determined through the KEAM entrance test, followed by a counseling process. Aspiring BArch students need to pass the NATA test administered by the National Institute of Advanced Studies in Architecture (NIASA). For admission to the Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BHMCT) program, candidates undergo an entrance exam conducted by KTU.

MBA admission is based on a valid CAT/KMAT/CMAT ranking, with subsequent personal interviews. Government-established reservation policies apply to MBA admissions. As for the MTech program, candidates are selected centrally or under the guidance of the Directorate of Technical Education, following Kerala government guidelines.
